Women in WWI

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the World War I armistice, Dr. Keith Gorman and Kathelene McCarty Smith of the Special Collections and University Archives, Walter Clinton Jackson Library at UNC-Greensboro will present their research. They will speak on the role of women's colleges, homefront mobilization, and suffrage during World War One. The role of Meredith College in these efforts will be highlighted. Their work is being published in an anthology on WWI and the South (LSU Press).
