EBSCO Databases-- What's New (and What's Not)

NCLIVE, the statewide consortium of which Meredith College's library is a member, has ended its subscription to a large package of databases from EBSCO. After reviewing usage data and consulting with faculty, our library has decided to resubscribe to many of these resources using its own budgeted funds.  We chose to retain the databases that are used most frequently and that faculty have identified as most important. 

Here is a summary of changes to the library's EBSCO database package: ebsco logo

Modified. These databases have been replaced by slightly smaller versions.  The vast majority of the highly-used journals from the Complete versions are also in the Premier versions.

Retained. The library will be be continuing its subscriptions to these databases:

  • Biography Reference Center
  • Entrepreneurial Studies Source
  • Environment Complete
  • ERIC 
  • GreenFILE
  • Health Source: Consumer Edition
  • Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition
  • Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts with Full Text
  • Literary Reference Center Plus
  • Military & Government Collection
  • Newspaper Source Plus
  • Points of View 

Discontinued. These EBSCO databases will no longer be available:
