I am happiest when helping students understand complex library resources and using those resources to retrieve the best information for that student’s needs. Throughout my career I have worked in smaller, predominantly undergraduate institutions and enjoy the one-on-one student contact that such institutions provide.
I was born and raised in West Virginia, went to school in Ohio and North Carolina. I have held reference positions at Ouachita Baptist University, West Texas State University and Meredith College. In Arkansas, I was elected an officer of the state library association. During my tenure as archivist for the North Carolina Library Association, I significantly increased the number of organizational records available to the public
In my spare time I enjoy showing my cats, taking mission trips with my church, and serving breakfast at Cornhuskin’.
