Bios for our panelists:

Dr. Tisha Admire Duncan is a Professor of Education at Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina.  Her areas of specialty at both the undergraduate and graduate levels are pre-service teacher education, literacy instruction, and academically and/or intellectually gifted children. She also serves as Program Coordinator for the M.Ed. in AIG, as well as, Faculty Liaison to Academic Advising for the campus. Recent research interests include learner-centered instruction, collaboration, and technology in the classroom.

Jenny Hubbard (Meredith Class of 1987), who lives in her hometown of Salisbury, NC,  has been putting pencil to paper for fifty years. During that time, she has taught high-school and college English, and now some of her students are professional writers and English teachers, too. Both of her novels, Paper Covers Rock and And We Stay, earned high honors from the American Library Association.  Hubbard has written two adaptations of novels for the stage: Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice (first produced in 2017) and E.M. Forster’s A Room with a View (to be produced in June of 2020). The novel she is working on currently is about a group of 14-year-old girls, survivors of school shootings, who are sent to a dairy farm on the coast of England in hopes that they can reclaim their innocence.

Erin Rhew is a professional editor for both publishing houses and individual authors, and she is the operations manager at Tenacious Books Publishing. She is also the author of the YA high fantasy trilogy The Fulfillment Series and The Transhuman Project, a YA science fiction novel. Since she picked up Morris the Moose Goes to School at age four, Erin has been infatuated with the written word. She went on to work as a grammar and writing tutor in college and is still teased by her family and friends for being a member of the "Grammar Police." Erin is married to Deek Rhew, who is also a published author, and they love to spend time writing together under the watchful eye of their tabby cat, Trinity.
