2001     Meredith Technology Initiative includes laptops for all full-time students

2001     First “Charming Evening” (Class of 2003) 

2001     Service Learning Program begins

2001     Master of Science in Nutrition launched

2001     Smoking banned in residence halls 

2002     Four men graduate from MBA program

2002     MC begins on-campus composting program

2002     Last year that Bibles are given to graduates at Commencement.

2003     First "Celebrating Student Achievement Day": included academic and achievement awards, the annual undergraduate research conference and a spring festival of sports, arts, music and dance. 

2003     SMB opens

2003     Cross Country added as sport

2003     Alumnae Legacy Scholarship – first full scholarship offered at MC

2004     Diversity Council established

2005     Acorn changes to The Colton Review

2005     Creation of the Meredith Community Garden

2005     Women’s Studies major launched (updated from minor)

2006     Dual engineering program created with NCSU

2006     Muslim Student Association established on campus

2007     Athletic teams change to new nickname, “Avenging Angels” and angel wing logo

2007     Meredith College joins the USA South Athletic Conference

2008     Master of Arts in Teaching graduate program launched

2008     Meredith Legacy Scholarship first awarded

2008     Institute for Womens’ Leadership

2009     The Oaks opens

2009     MC receives City of Raleigh Environmental Award for on-campus composting program

2009     Completion of MC’s first Habitat for Humanity home

2009     Study Abroad program establishes permanent site in Sansepolcro, Italy

2009     Athletic Field and Track complex completed
