Mendeley 101: Create Group Libraries

How to Share Citations with Others

If you create an online Zotero account, you can create Groups with whom you can build a shared online Mendeley library. These Groups can be opened to your research collaborators or students.

To create a Group:

  1. Log in to your online Mendeley account
  2. Scroll down the left menu to "Groups,"  then click on "Create Group"
  3. Name your group 
  4. Click on the three dots to the left of your group name and select "Manage Group" from the pop-up window 
  5. Click "Invite Members" and type in the email addresses of who you'd like to invite.

You and other group members can now save citations to the shared group library.
