Beverly Perdue Collection: Lt. Governor

During her time as the 73rd Governor of North Carolina, Beverly Perdue accomplished many things. One of her most notable achievements was protecting North Carolina's Military bases that were worth $18 billion. This also created over 300,000 jobs in the state economy. Perdue has always been very aware of the role technology plays in our society. Because of this, she created the North Carolina Military Foundation. This organization focused on creating 21st-century jobs in defense, aerospace, and homeland security. She also launched the Green Business Fund which focused on funding clean energy technology, alternative fuels, and green construction.
