Bio

Montica Ashley Talmadge was born on June 4, 1979 in Finely, Ohio. As a graduate from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Ms. Talmadge believes that public education is important as it provides every individual the opportunity to receive an education. Recalling her first experience with Politics at three years old as she watched the conventions, she has let her political passions propel her into her current project, advocating for direct care workers to make more money per hour, for child care worker to be paid more, and for women of color to be a part of the political process. Impacted by the live and work of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Shirley Chisholm, and Barbara Jordon, Montica Talmadge works to be a “a voice in a place where someone else can’t be.”     --Compiled by Delaney Rhodes
